In 2006, Don Julio, with his family, planted their final agave field. In honor of his devotion and craftsmanship, this agave harvest was carefully distilled, barreled, and set aside for a special use. To preserve this tequila and the exquisite agave piñas behind it, we have implemented a Solera aging system.

  • Aged in bourbon barrels before finishing in seasoned Madeira wine casks. Don Julio utilizes the Solera aging method, which combines and matures tequilas of different ages and characteristics.
  • Nose of toasted oak and caramel, followed by hints of apricot and orange, and a finish with honeyed agave
  • Released in commemoration of the tenure of Don Julio Gonzalez’s at the distillery over the last 80 years
